Two piece outfits are extremely trendy right now and you may have noticed several of my recent outfits have been two pieces. I have honesty always been a fan of crop tops, tube tops (that’s what we called them before someone came up with the word “Bandeau”) and two piece sets. Funny but yet not so funny story…. back in high school when I was about 16 I purchased an adorable 2 piece set… it was a short white skirt that snapped in a straight line up the front with little red lady bugs on it and a matching white collared short sleeve crop top that tied under the chest. I was in love with this outfit and while I could not where it to school I had big weekend plans for its debut. Sadly my father caught sight of what he deemed inappropriate at the time and made me return it!!!!! I remember it all so clearly…I’m not sure I’m actually over it but thank goodness 2 pieces are back and I’m not wasting any time building my collection. Most of the two piece dresses I have worn thus far have been conservative… this one from For Love & Lemons is not only eye catching but really gives a WOW factor showing a bit more skin!!! The top and bottom are delicate but extremely well made with ornate embroidery throughout each piece. I’m planning on saving this Barcelona set for a special date night during our upcoming vacation. The skirt doesn’t quite hang to the floor or mid shin… its more in between both of those areas. Heels or flats would work but I thought it looked better with a pair of Sam Edelman fringe sandals.
