Maxi dresses have easily become synonymous with summertime style! You can find maxis in all price ranges and fabrics from silk to satin, chiffon and cotton… the list goes on and on. This summer season I am all about comfort, wash-ability and style of course! Having a newborn, it’s really important to me that I’m investing in pieces that are affordable and durable. Between carrying Kade, diaper bags, the car seat and other miscellaneous items I have already snagged, torn and stained a few garments. Sooooooo, I am being extra careful these days on what I wear and purchase…. at least for the time being. Which brings me to this gorgeous maxi! During my pregnancy I was introduced to Pink Blush… they are known for their stylish and affordable maternity clothes but what most may not know is that they also carry beautiful non-maternity clothing too. Since, I was extremely happy with the style and fit of all of my Pink Blush maternity clothes they were my first choice when looking for summer maxis. This mauve tie dye maxi has basically been on repeat since it arrived! The length of the maxi is perfect, long enough to cover your ankles but not too long so you wont have to worry about tripping. The cotton fabric is extremely soft and very breathable which is necessary for a humid Baltimore evening. Brunch, beach, pool day or road trip… this maxi is perfect!
To complete this look I added a thick straw belt, floppy beach hat, straw bag and sandals. While getting ready I was playing around with an elastic flower headband but opted for a floppy hat. Then I had the idea to combine the two and it turned out great – really was the perfect touch to complete this look!!!
