AUGUST 2, 2019
The day started like any other ordinary day, only this day was no ordinary day. It was the day Baltimore would host almost two thousand party goers, dressed to the nines in all white to attend their 3rd annual Le Dîner en Blanc.
I had been preparing for weeks and was ready! Really ready! I tried to calm my excitement as I went for a quick run. My mind rushed with thoughts of checking off my to-do list, hoping the forecasted rain would stay away, and wondering where in the city would be home to the 2019 Le Dîner en Blanc Baltimore.
WHERE WAS IT?
Our meet location was next to Loch Bar at the Four Seasons in Harbor East. Knowing we would be walking from there my top guesses were Sandlot (secretly hoping it wasn’t there since last year’s location in Harbor Point was so close) or near the Pier 5 Hotel. I was sort of right. It was held at the Pier 6 MECU Pavilion, a great location with plenty of harbor views and the pavilion stage worked out perfectly for the band and dance floor.
WHAT DID WE WEAR?
For the second year, I partnered with local designer Erin Boggs to create my look for the evening. We shared a little inspiration back and forth and then Erin went to work sketching. She created four amazing looks to choose from. It was a REALLY tough choice but I ultimately went with the one incorporating all of my favorite
Every piece Erin creates is exquisite and this dress was no different! I am always in complete awe of her awesomeness and honored to wear her one-of-a-kind dresses. Spencer’s look was all about comfort! He wore Under Armour golf pants, polo, and belt paired with white loafers.
FINISHING TOUCHES
To complete my look I worked with some of my favorite local businesses! Helga, Lujca, and Linsey at About Faces created a glam look for me using a ribbon diamond braid, neutral makeup highlighting my cheekbones and a smokey eye. I chose complementing accessories from Lauren Loraine with the Venus heels, Mignonne Gavigan Madeline earrings from Sassanova and Julie Vos cuffs from Becket Hitch in Green Spring Station.
SQUAD GOALS
(Left to Right) Farin, Sarahbeth, Me, Tiffanie, Vanessa, Alexis
Spending the evening dining, dancing, laughing and enjoying Baltimore with these ladies was the absolute best!
OUR DINNER MENU
This year we decided to team up with Farin and her hubby Jeff for a shared Le Dîner en Blanc menu. We ordered the catering last year and sadly our meal was cold, delicious but cold by the time we ate it so we decided to bring ours this year. Knowing it is often 2-3 hours from car to meal time we chose to bring Richardson Farm shrimp salad croissant sandwiches + pasta salad, Farin’s homemade chicken dip, cheese and crackers on Root and Ore’s cutting board, Trader Joes Chips, and Ashley’s Sweet Beginnings Chocolate covered strawberries. And to top it all off we all enjoyed the Chloe Prosecco in Corkcicle Unicorn Magic glitter flutes.
IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE
If you ever get the chance to attend Le Dîner en Blanc Baltimore or in another city TAKE IT! While the event is rich in tradition, no two Dîner en Blanc evenings are ever the same! I would go to a bunch if I could but Spencer says he is only good for one a year. I’m currently trying to get him to agree to 2 next year… wish me luck!

THANK YOU
A huge thank you to Jen who met Spener and I for a quick photo session before Le Dîner en Blanc Baltimore. To Erin, for her never ending talents and creating a dress of my dreams for this evening. And, to About Faces for making me look glamorous!
