After the holidays April, from April Davidson Bly Photography , and I set out to capture a few new looks to share with you. This one is definitley my favorite so far this year and totally represents my personality! I love the nod to the lumberjack/outdoor style and of course all things girly! Oh, and I kind of have a thing for buffalo plaid!

I’ve mentioned before that I tend to hold onto items for an insanely long amount of time… but there is good reason why! You just never know when you might find the perfect item to match something you already own in your closet! Let’s be honest…it’s not a shocker that I own a few buffalo plaid items…LOL. {And a few is an understatement}.

Sorel boots are the best for their function and fashion! Stylish boots that actually keep your feet warm… sign me up! A few months ago I was checking our their website to find Kade a pair of snow boots and saw they had an entire assortment of buffalo plaid boots for women! Naturally, I was bananas over all of them and wish I could have added each one to my collection. However, I had to choose… I was a bit torn between a tried and true boot wedge style {of which I already own two other pairs in this style} or try a new style. Ultimately, I went with the wedge and I’m sure glad I did because it is AMAZING! It’s currently on sale but sizes are limited {Links below for where to buy}.

April and I were planning to check out Graffiti Alley , one of the coolest and most artistic places in Baltimore, and I knew these boots would look awesome there. I styled them with a coordinating buffalo plaid shirt and clutch, as well as a short black tulle skirt appropriately named “The Carrie” {as in Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City}. These boots are easily styled with denim and leggings alike. I love this look but denim might have been more practical for this day. It was COLD! Thankfully April is a trooper like me and we battled the cold to get some fun shots. I might not look cold but it was below thirty degrees that day. Check out the snowflakes on my skirt…while we were out and about it started snowing soft little snow crystals that sat perfectly on my skirt. While driving around, we ended up passing one of my favorite restaurants Parts and Labor and stopped for a few more shots outside by their wall of wood! Seemed fitting considering I was in a lumberjack inspired look of the day!
