When we first found out we were having a little boy we talked about possible nursery themes: sports, cars, vintage planes, outdoor animals, sheep or solid colors. I spent two days looking at possible nursery bedding options. I literally found three that I liked but my husband was not in love with the options. Frustrated, I continued the search even further…I started looking at custom bedding options. I wasn’t sure what I would find or how much custom bedding might cost BUT I was immediately surprised at the variety of prints, colors and fabrics available. And, the costs seemed reasonable of course there are many options that are less expensive than handmade bedding but for us I was sold! I was quickly drawn to outdoor prints in hues of brown, black, grey and red. Overwhelmed and in love with various prints I started working with Hudson Baby Company to render a few options for our nursery. Hudson Baby Company directed me to Spoonflower to select my favorite prints. We ultimately decided to base our nursery on the Happy Camper print from Little Arrow Design Co.
After selecting the happy camper print and a few other prints to compliment it, we ordered our furniture and I started selecting and creating the room decor.

Moose, Bear, Deer Prints from Little Arrow Design Co. – purchased all 3 from their etsy shop, printed on card stock and framed with frames from Home Goods.
Using the buffalo plaid alphabet letters and clip art from my baby shower I created an Alphabet sign. It can be created in a variety of standard computer programs, printed on 100 lb card stock and framed. (Frame from Michael’s)
We selected Hudson Baby Company’s handmade Crib Bumper, Crib Fitted Sheet, Bobby Cover, Pillow Case and Changing Pad Cover.

While I was busy decorating time seemed to fly and before I realized it, stores were starting to decorate for Christmas. This is where I lucked out because Buffalo Plaid is everywhere! I thought I would have had to create most of the nursery decor myself but a trip to Hobby Lobby proved me wrong. They have an entire section of woodland/camper decor.

Even though we still have some work to do, we love how warm and inviting his nursery feels. I am still hoping to make a woodland mobile, organize the closet and finish our third wall. Three more months and our little man will be in here!
