It can be quite costly season after season trying to keep up with the latest trends. One of my styling tips is to invest in neutral items… not necessarily in color but rather staple items in your wardrobe that can be “go-to’s” and offer flexibility when creating outfits. It is fun to purchase items because they are new/trendy that season but more times than not I purchase items I love and know I will have in my closet for years to come. With a closet full of investment pieces I of course need to wear the items again but I make sure the outfit is different and and this is where styling begins!
A new segment on my blog is going to be “Styled Three Ways” where I take a garment, shoe or accessory and quite literally style is three different ways. This is my first STW {styled three ways} where I have taken a simple blush drop waist dress and transformed it into a classy, casual and country look. The dress retails for $148 but with styling it three very different ways it’s almost as if I got three dresses for $148.
CLASSY
Keeping the femininity of the dress was important to me for this classy look. I kept it simple by adding a white collared short sleeve dress shirt underneath, my favorite pink heels and gold accessories.
CASUAL
This casual style would be great for an afternoon outside exploring a new town or shopping with girlfriends where you know you will be doing a lot of walking.
