What to Wear in a Sunflower Field
What is your favorite flower, do you have one? Mine has always been sunflowers followed closely by cherry blossoms and peonies. This week’s style series is inspired by channeling my favorite flower to share Sunflower Family Photo Outfits.
Out of all the different kinds of styling I do, my absolute favorite is family photos! I’m extremely passionate about documenting families together especially as they grow through the years. And my favor time of year to do so is now! Why you might ask. It’s simple. Because the sunflowers are in bloom!
Sunflower Love Affair
My sunflower love affair started as a young girl when my parents used to vacation across the country. We would drive by fields of sunflowers or stay at a hotels with a sunflower patches in the back. I would always ask to take pictures of them and with them. I’m not sure if it’s their shear size or happy go-lucky vibrant hues of yellow that draw me in. But either way I’m hooked and every year I make it my mission to take “several” family photos in the beautiful sunflower fields.
Thankfully my hometown plants sunflower fields each year so I don’t have to go too far to find them. Some years they are planted early where they bloom in July/August and others years it’s later like September/October. As luck would have it my son and I are heading back to my hometown late September and it looks like they will be in bloom then!
So while I’m working on our sunflower family photo outfits I thought I would share with you. And maybe you’ll find some inspiration to locate a field of sunflowers near you and give them a visit!
