Recently I was on a work trip in Canada, Calgary to be specific and happened to steal a few hours away to see the city. One of my favorite things to do while on the road is explore the area and seek out local shops/boutiques. Especially with exchange rate being in my favor. Much to my dismay Calgary only had a few little shops however some shop owners and locals guided me to Chinook Mall. I was completely blown away by this mall!! They had every store imaginable and I only had 2 hours! I needed a plan…I flew through the mall skipping many wings, floors and stores (did I mention this mall was massive?!) that I would normally have gone in but I was on a mission for some local finds or at the very least visit stores that were not easily accessible in the Baltimore/DC Area. Just when I was thinking I would need to start heading back to my car I saw… Aritzia!!! Finally a Canadian based store which was completely new to me…I quickly went in and was greeted with tables upon tables of beautiful scarves. The store was very nice and their clothes were gorgeous as well but it was love at first sight for me and the scarves. So much so that I splurged and brought two home with me. Good news for all of you too is that they opened 2 stores in New York and offer a U.S. website so you can order online from Aritzia.
