Valentine’s Day expectations are a little different for everyone. My husband and I choose to celebrate this day as an “US” day. It all started back in 2010 when Valentines fell on a Sunday. It was the only day we both had available to hang out for the very first time! We both agreed it was ironic that it happened to be Valentine’s Day but chose to ignore that fact. It ended up being an amazing day of two people getting to know each other. A day where a friendship blossomed and laid the foundation for our future together. Each and every year since we have taken off work and celebrated “US” day just the way we did back in 2010. This year however might be a little interesting since our baby boy is due to arrive on February 13th.
Only time will tell if we will be getting another Valentine’s Day for “just the two of us”.
