Celebrating Nine Months in Raleigh

In honor of Kade’s ten month birthday earlier this week I am finally sharing our family photos from last month. November was a bit more hectic than usual… if you can believe that! We had plans every weekend and weren’t able to capture our family photos in time for his actual nine months which was the eighteenth but we did squeeze it in over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We teamed up with Jeremy from Groves and Groves Photography and met at Beaver Dam Lake just outside of Raleigh. The leaves were rich in fall hues and the entire lake area was absolutely gorgeous. Kade really enjoyed playing in the woods, he is full of curiosity and loves to put everything in his mouth. He has really been vocal lately about what he likes and dislikes which has helped us figure out some of his favorite things!

Funny story was that I actually pulled this shoot together pretty last minute. In order to create our family style I went out shopping Monday evening the week of Thanksgiving for Kade and then order a few things for myself. I had to have the items shipped to my in-laws since we would be there for the weekend. When the items arrived they were not exactly what I was hoping for, soooo I had to run out the morning of Black Friday to find an outfit for our family pictures. Thankfully the mall wasn’t terrible but it certainly wasn’t ideal. I did, however, score heavily discounted deals since it happened to be the most well known shopping day of the year! Our style was casual which was perfect for the picturesque fall scene at the lake. We enjoyed the time as a little family of three, exploring, playing in the leaves and walking around the lake. These photos captured that perfectly… for warning there is a lot but they are way too cute not to share!
