Happy Birthday America!

Proudly celebrating the birth of our amazing country with these two cuties! We had planned on going south for a few days but last minute we had to adjust our plans… which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing! I feel like I’ve been going none stop and a little unplanned down time might be exactly what we need!

Due to our summer schedules being a bit insane we opted not to join our local pool this summer, and on a day like today, I’m like NOOOOOO!!!! We need a pool! It’s a beautiful day and nearly 100 degrees … who wants to be trapped inside all day??? Not me! I quickly started researching local public swimming areas. There are tons of lakes and public waterways locally but with Kade being so young I only wanted to go to a pool.

I had completely forgotten about a local gem near where I grew up… it’s a bit of a hike north from where we currently live, but we gave it a shot! Just before the Conowingo Dam is an enormous pool nestled in the country side surrounded by trees overlooking the Susquehanna River (fun fact: Spencer and I were married on the Susquehanna about 20 miles north of the pool) We had so much fun splashing around and watching our little fish enjoy the day with his best friends (Mommy and Daddy). We all love being outside and active! I’m pretty sure Kade is going to be addicted to the outdoors just as much as we are!
