This week’s Look of the Day Series is all about stylish vacation outfits. These looks are especially ideal for exploring cities and spending time near the water. They were inspired by a recent staycation we took along the Bush River in Harford County, MD.
Hopefully you follow me on instagram and are caught up on our moving shananigians. From selling our house to moving in with my parents and visiting family in NC + SC we realized we haven’t been together as a family since March. We couldn’t believe it but yup it’s been FOUR months since our little family of three spent time just the three of us. So we decided to take a mini staycation along the Bush River. It was low key with daily walks, pool time, playing in the sand, and dinner by the water.
The weather was hot but thankfully we had a nice breeze being on the water. When styling stylish vacation outfits for summer I prefer to find light weight materials that are breathable and comfortable. Maxi dresses are a personal fav… they are basically a grab and go, plus they are easy to style. Other outfit ideas that are cool to wear in warm temps are bathing suit tops paired with skirts and two piece sets. I added in a date night look too… you can never go wrong with a LBD!
