Affordable Summer Dresses Under $30

This weeks style post is dedicated to everyone who likes to save a few dollars from time to time. And if you happen to be a fashionista living on a tight budget definitely keep reading. This week’s Look of the Day series features summer dresses under $30! Okay so now you are probably thinking this sounds too good to be true, the quality is most likely crap, and I’m sure the dresses smell. Don’t worry I thought all of those things too!

All of the dresses below are from Shein, if you aren’t familiar with the brand I’m happy to introduce you. If you have heard of the brand but haven’t order you’re in good company. This was me too! I’ve known them for years but made my first purchases earlier this year on a few shackets. And now again to test out style a few of their affordable summer dresses under $30 .

The great thing about fashion these days is that you can easily style luxury designs with price point pieces. You can find high quality designer dupes and still look like you just got off the runway. As a stylist this is my favorite part, I love helping women look and feel amazing with items that work within their budget.

TIPS FOR ORDERING CONSIDERATION

I couldn’t in good conscious style and promote extremely budget friendly dresses without styling them myself. So, I ordered seven dresses to the tune of $150! Which quite possibly is a record in my shopping history. After receiving my order, doing try-ons, and styling the ones I’m keeping here are my overall thoughts:

  • Shein offers free returns for purchasers in the USA so there really is no downfall to ordering a few to try.
  • The shipping process may take longer than other brands because your items will have to clear customs. Mine arrived in under two weeks.
  • I was very impressed with the packaging, each dress was in it’s own plastic bag with ziploc esq closure. And NONE OF THE DRESSES SMELLED!
  • Out of seven dresses 2 were off on sizing. Which I’ve certainly experienced with other brands too. All of the dresses I ordered were mediums and a few I would have preferred a small. My philosophy is I can make a dress smaller but I can’t make a dress bigger.

Without further ado let’s dive into these styled looks. Be sure to check out the bottom of this post because I’m sharing my top 10 go-to brands for affordable fashion!

dress details: zipper back, criss-cross shoulder straps, a little extra material in chest under arms // wearing size medium

thoughts: my favorite dress out of the bunch, the colors are vibrant, side zipper, fitter through bust, puff sleeves can be worn up or off the shoulder and length is good for a mini dress // wearing a medium and I’m 5’3″

dress notes: my second favorite dress out of the bunch, the purple is a beautiful shade, zipper back, top shoulder ties, light weight, dress is not lined but also not see-through, I love this dress for travel and vacations… I’ll probably order other colors // wearing a medium

thoughts: another good one, this is actually a designer dupe, no zippers this is a pull on dress, elastic at waist and arm holes, puffy sleeves that can be worn on or off the shoulder // wearing a medium
