Anyone else agree that the transition from summer to fall is the worst? Don’t get me wrong I’m totally here for all the home and entertaining fall decor. But it’s sometimes sad to let go of summer and challenging to pull out those sweaters in the remaining 80 degree weather. So when do you start to decorate? Whichever side you cheer for, long live summer or get here quick fall it’s almost October which means fall is here to stay.
To help you with your home and entertaining fall decor I’ve styled several color schemes below. You’ll see a variety of traditional colors such as orange and tan hues infused with some burnt reds and burgundys. In addition, I styled a few unexpected but very trendy colors like sage and blush. I assumed blush fall items would be easy to find since it has been growing in popularity over the past years. But to my surprise sage seems to be extremely prevalent too and not just for general home decor but fall specific decor too.
While I personally love to style non-traditional decor I always seem to settle in with a more traditional tablescape and mantle. My first fall purchase of the year is usually cinnamon scent pinecones, I swear they get me everytime. Quickly followed by mums, pumpkins and apple cider donuts. All those colors and feels have me lean traditional. Plus, the decor arsenal I have accumulated over the years has several brown, orange and tan fall decor and serving pieces.
I would love to see how you plan to decorate for the fall season! Especially if your style is non traditional! Keep me in mind when you share, tag or DM me @shoptini. Till next week xoxo!
