Blue Summer Maxi Dresses

When was the last time you took a vacation? Hopefully it was just a few weeks ago, or maybe you have one coming up! For my family it was over TWO years ago, which seems ridiculous because up until now we have been pretty good about taking a vacation every year. But sadly, it is true. The last vacation we had was when Spencer and I planned a road trip out west {you can read more about it here and here}. It was on that trip that we found out we were expecting! During our pregnancy I had grandiose plans for a tropical baby moon, but the craziness around the zika virus became too much of a deterrent, so we stayed home. Then I thought last summer we would surely take a vacation but, as we were still getting a handle on parenting, we opted for a long weekend at the lake.

Which brings me to now… We have some big travel plans already for next year, (which I will share more with you later as that time nears) so we thought it best to stay low-key this summer. But then, I hit a wall. We need a break! Do you ever feel that way? I feel like pressing the reset button, letting my mind wonder, spending quality time with my family, and reconnecting with myself and our goals. So, here I am, with just a few weeks of summer left, trying to find us a last minute vacation!

So while I am looking for the perfect vacation spot, I can’t help but to be thinking about what I might wear on our trip. Bathing suits, cover-ups, and sun dresses for sure! Recently, bold hues of blue have been catching my attention. I found some beautiful dresses and love how the crisp white and cobalt blue compliment each other, while creating a dramatic silhouette. Especially the first two-piece dress! It was a must have for me and is almost sold out! Spencer teased me that I purchased this dress for a trip we haven’t even planned, but I have already worn it once and have plans to put it on repeat for the next few weeks!
