Polka Dots are Popping up everywhere!

When I saw this dress hanging in Anthropologie, images of Julia Roberts in the Pretty Woman movie came flooding into my mind. There are a few iconic looks from the movie that I can recall so vividly. The knock-your-socks-off gorgeous ruby red ball gown she wore to the opera, the matte coral shorts suit she wore when Kit visits (not my fav but I remember it), and the pretty brown summer dress with white polka dots and coordinating hat she wore to the polo match. This dress reminded me of the latter scene in the movie.

On-trend then and trending again now, polka dots are making moves.

Side Note:  Did you know Pretty Woman was released in 1990?!?!?!?! I recalled watching it at a young age (not sure I saw it that year but relatively around the early 90’s), but now I’m sitting here thinking WOW that was a really long time ago! But that’s how fashion works … it trends for a couple years, leaves, waits a few decades, and then joins us again… just like these polka dots!
