Jackets are often an underrated essential piece of ones wardrobe. When you think about it, depending on where you live, you might wear a jacket every day for months in a row… that could be like 60+ days wearing some sort of coat or jacket over your clothing. Shocker, like everything else, I of course love jackets… especially trench coats and cape jackets. For the past several fall/winter seasons, I have treated myself to a new jacket, coat or cape. In doing so, I have managed to build quite an outerwear collection. This is very beneficial, so I don’t have to wear the same jacket for 60+ days in a row. I think it’s really important to have a few jackets in your closet… I would suggest a dress coat, a casual coat or two, an active outdoor coat and if you live anywhere that gets really cold, a coat that just keeps you nice and toasty warm.
This year, I have fallen for a crimson suede trench coat from Sassanova. They offer a variety of classic colors like black, navy, beige and grey. But the crimson red stole my heart. It’s perfect for fall and the upcoming mild winter days. The suede trench style will be quite versatile too. I styled it dressy here, but I totally see rocking this trench coat with skinny jeans and over the knee boots!
